SMS Consent
Effective date: June 28, 2026
This page documents the Brown Consulting LLC d/b/a ClearJob SMS call to action and consent disclosure for transactional job update texts. It is provided so customers, contractors, and messaging compliance reviewers can verify how SMS consent is requested before ClearJob sends text messages.
1. SMS Program
- Program name: ClearJob job update texts
- Sender: Brown Consulting LLC d/b/a ClearJob, on behalf of the contractor managing the job
- Recipients: Customers who requested service or agreed to receive service-related updates from a contractor using ClearJob
- Message type: Transactional job-management updates only
2. Message Types
ClearJob SMS messages may include:
- Estimate review or acceptance links
- Invoice or payment links
- Payment receipts
- Appointment confirmations or schedule updates
- Arrival windows, on-my-way notices, or running-late notices
- Job status updates related to requested services
ClearJob SMS may only be used for transactional and conversational communications related to an existing customer relationship. ClearJob SMS is not used for marketing blasts, lead generation, third-party offers, or affiliate promotions.
3. How Customers Opt In
Customers opt in directly with the contractor before SMS is sent. Consent may be collected when a customer requests service, submits a service request, schedules an appointment, checks an optional SMS consent checkbox where available, signs an estimate, participates in a booking conversation, or otherwise expressly agrees to receive transactional text messages related to their service request.
SMS consent is optional. A customer can decline SMS and still receive service through other available channels, such as email, phone, or in-person communication.
ClearJob does not currently collect public website SMS opt-in through this page. If a public request form later collects SMS consent, the checkbox will be optional, unchecked by default, and will show the required SMS disclosures near the checkbox.
