Brown Consulting LLC d/b/a ClearJob (“ClearJob,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the ClearJob mobile application and the clearjob.app website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our services.
By using ClearJob, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Name, email address, and phone number when you create an account or join our waitlist
- Business name and trade type when you set up your contractor profile
- Customer contact information (names, phone numbers, email addresses) that you enter into the app
- Job details, quotes, invoices, and photos that you create within the app
- Payment account handles (e.g., Venmo, CashApp) you choose to display on invoices
Information collected automatically
- Device type and operating system
- App usage data and feature interactions
- Error logs and crash reports
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the ClearJob application
- Create and manage your account
- Send transactional communications such as quote approvals, job notifications, and invoice reminders
- Send SMS notifications related to your jobs and customer communications if SMS is enabled for your account (see Section 4)
- Process payments through our third-party payment processor (Stripe)
- Respond to your support requests
- Send you product updates and announcements (you may opt out at any time)
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We work with trusted third-party providers to operate our service, including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), and SMS delivery providers such as Telnyx and Twilio if SMS is enabled. For SMS delivery, we may share mobile numbers and SMS opt-in or consent status with Telnyx, Twilio, phone companies, carriers, aggregators, and vendors that help us deliver text messages solely to provide the ClearJob SMS program. These providers access your information only to perform services on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal process.
- Business transfers: If ClearJob is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. SMS Communications
When SMS is enabled for your account and you use ClearJob to send service-related SMS notifications to your customers, those messages are sent on your behalf through third-party SMS delivery providers, which may include Telnyx and Twilio. ClearJob SMS messages are transactional and conversational communications related to an existing customer relationship. They may include estimate links, invoice links, payment receipts, appointment confirmations, arrival windows, running-late notices, and job status updates.
If you provide your own phone number for account or notification purposes, we may send you service-related SMS messages after you provide prior express consent to receive them.
Customers may provide SMS consent by requesting service, submitting a service request, scheduling an appointment, checking an SMS consent checkbox, signing an estimate, or otherwise expressly agreeing to receive transactional text messages related to their service request before SMS is sent.
- Message frequency: Varies based on job activity, customer communication settings, and the number of estimates, invoices, appointments, receipts, or status updates sent
- Message & data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan
- To opt out: Reply STOP to any SMS message to unsubscribe. Recipients who opt out will no longer receive SMS messages unless they subsequently opt back in.

- Carrier delivery: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages

5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
ClearJob is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and personal data
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
- Opt out of SMS messages, where enabled, by replying STOP

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date. Your continued use of ClearJob after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
